i've been deeply gouged
destroyed completely
left for dead
and hijacked discreetly
needed, and sucked dry
then tossed to the gutter
revered and held highly
then left with no other.
disappointed, disheartened, dejected, left empty,
hurt and held tightly
then discarded, defenseless
no closure, no kindness
no scrap of our friendship...
dissolving a kinship,
just reveries so distant
despondent and doubted
i'm better without them.
